The Bronze Award-winning Minecraft - Pocket Edition was always going to become bigger, and hopefully better. That's the understanding we always had. As expected, regular updates ensure that's the case, with the last one introducing the Sun, the Moon, the stars, and a Quartz slab. Those were only minor additions in comparison to the much more significant and upcoming 0.8.0 update. At last, you'll be able to mine Redstone in Minecraft - Pocket Edition. This is used to power many of the machines, turbines, rails, and other systems. hile many of the more advanced uses of Redstone may not be included in the 0.8.0. update, you will at least be able to use it to power rollercoasters. Er, I mean, powered rails with minecarts. As detailed by Droid Gamers, the rest of the features expected in the 0.8.0. update include the following: 3D Clouds Sideways logs Walls Sponges (Creative only for 0.8.0, Survival in future update) Birch, Jungle, and Spruce Planks and Stairs Pumpkins and Pumpkin Pie Carrots and Potatoes Iron Bars Carpet - Water Flowing Downward on Farmland (Bug fix) Fire Doesn't Ignite TNT (Bug fix) It should be noted that not all of these features are guaranteed in the update, and more may be added yet. Apparently, we're to expect the 0.8.0. update to come to Minecraft - Pocket Edition in mid-November. We'll let you know more nearer the time.
